Nanango’s Nicole Knott has some big dreams – including travelling the world as a cruise ship dancer – and she’s working hard to turn them into reality.<\/p>\n

The 2018 Nanango State High School graduate has just been accepted as a full-time student into one of Queensland’s leading dance studios.<\/p>\n

Over the next two years she will studying a Certificate IV in Dance and then a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) with Dynamite Studios on the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n

Nicole has been training with\u00a0La Cr\u00e8me Dance Academy in Nanango for almost six years, and credits director Ashleigh Mangan as her main mentor.<\/p>\n

She completed her Certificate III with\u00a0La Cr\u00e8me.<\/p>\n

Her favourite forms of dance are contemporary and “acro” ie. acrobatics, but she dances all styles.<\/p>\n

Nicole will be adding to her skills to include singing when she joins Dynamite Studios, which will expand her future career options to embrace musical theatre.<\/p>\n

“I don’t have much experience with singing yet!” she admits.<\/p>\n

But in the meantime, Nicole can honestly lay claim to being a “princess”.<\/p>\n

Between December 14-23, she will be performing as a princess in the David Jones’ Christmas Parade in the Queen Street Mall in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

Dancers from across Queensland applied to take part in the parade, and Nicole was one of just 40 selected after auditions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
