playing at home in scorching conditions &#8211; both notched up wins in the Gympie cricket competition last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The victories set up what looks to be an interesting local derby clash which will be played in Murgon on Saturday.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">* * *<\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><strong>A Grade<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_225011\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-225011\" style=\"width: 740px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/20181201cricket2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-225011\" src=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/20181201cricket2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/20181201cricket2.jpg 620w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/20181201cricket2-300x186.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-225011\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Matthew Dugdell top scored with 77 for the home side at Lyle Vidler Oval<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Southern District Devils proved too strong at home against Gympie Wests at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy, winning by eight wickets.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gympie won the toss and elected to bat.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of their 40 overs, Wests were 8\/160.<\/p>\n<p>Bowling honours were shared around &#8211; and there were two runouts.<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Nesbitt finished with the best figures for Devils (2\/35 off seven overs).<\/p>\n<p>In reply, the Devils chased down the runs in 19.2 overs for the loss of two wickets.<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Dugdell top-scored with 77 runs, including one six and 14 fours.<\/p>\n<p>Opener Lleyton Brown finished 39 not out.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">* * *<\/h2>\n<p><strong>At Murgon Sportsground, the RSVP Droughtmasters Crusaders downed Gympie Colts after the home team won the toss and elected to bat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Crusaders set an impressive target of 202 off their 40 overs, for the loss of seven wickets.<\/p>\n<p>Damien Sippel top-scored with\u00a089 followed by opener Paul Brunjes\u00a0with 41.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Crusaders had Colts all out for 59 in 20.2 overs.<\/p>\n<p>Ashley Sippel\u00a0(5\/19 off seven overs, including four maidens) and\u00a0Graham Brown\u00a0(3\/6 off 6.2 overs) did the damage.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">* * *<\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><strong>B Grade<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Wondai Wolves hosted Kallindale Warriors at Wondai Sportsground.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The visitors put in a strong performance &#8211; winning by nine wickets &#8211; despite an impressive batting display by the Wolves&#8217; Chris Heness.<\/p>\n<p>Wondai won the toss and elected to bat.<\/p>\n<p>They were all out for 227 off 35.4 overs, with\u00a0Heness\u00a0finishing on an unbeaten 183.<\/p>\n<p>Brett Simpson (3\/45 off eight overs) and captain Chanse Olm (2\/23 off six overs, including one maiden) were the best of the Warriors&#8217; bowlers.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Warriors notched up 234 runs off 33 overs for the loss of just one wicket.<\/p>\n<p>Wicketkeeper Jayden Steinhardt (73 not out) and Olm (63 not out) were best with the bat, followed by Tavis Hartwig (57).<\/p>\n<p>Robert Christensen took the solitary wicket, finishing with 1\/38 off off four overs.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">* * *<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Despite a rocky start to their innings, Blackbutt downed Cherbourg in a quick game played on a very hot day at Blackbutt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cherbourg won the toss and batted first, finishing with 7\/78 in 15 overs.<\/p>\n<p>Keith Walsh (26) and\u00a0Dallas Bond (23) put on the most runs.<\/p>\n<p>Zac Ennis (3\/12 off three overs),\u00a0Jack Lewis (1\/8 off one over) and\u00a0Ethan Norris (1\/5 off one over) were the best of the Blackbutt bowlers.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Blackbutt started shakily and at one point were 4\/5 off seven overs but\u00a0recovered to overhaul the target and finish 5\/85 off 19 overs.<\/p>\n<p>Jack Lewis (60) saved the day when he came in at number six.<\/p>\n<p>Danny Weazel (3\/31 off eight overs) and Keith Walsh (1\/9 off five) were the best bowlers for Cherbourg bowlers.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">* * *<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Kumbia Rattlers edged out Kingaroy Services at Kumbia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kumbia won toss and elected to bat.
