Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington has congratulated the Kingaroy Sporting Club on receiving\u00a0a $34,689 Gambling Community Benefit Grant through a recent round of the program.<\/p>\n

Mrs Frecklington visited the club recently to meet with members and hear about the planned upgrades.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to see the reinvigoration of the Kingaroy Sporting Club and this funding will certainly help\u00a0improve its facilities,\u201d Mrs Frecklington said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe committee will be using the funding to remove asbestos material, and to carry out electrical\u00a0and plumbing works.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese works will help the Club grow and provide better access to the many different activities which\u00a0take place at the club, including boxing, martial arts, general fitness and line dancing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a great example of a group identifying how a grant can help grow their club.<\/p>\n

“I encourage all\u00a0local groups, however big or small, to consider applying for a Gambling Community Benefit Fund\u00a0grant to help achieve their goals.\u201d<\/p>\n
