3, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>People who\u2019d like to help disadvantaged local children enjoy a brighter Christmas have until this Thursday (December 6) to donate a soft toy to this year\u2019s South Burnett Toy Run.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, December 8, motorcyclists from all over the region will be meeting up at Sunshine Mitre 10 in Rogers Drive, Kingaroy for a sausage sizzle breakfast between 9:30am and 11:00am.<\/p>\n<p>Then they&#8217;ll be riding in a parade around town to Kingaroy Showgrounds to deliver this year\u2019s gifts left in the Toy Run\u2019s \u201cBaskets Of Hope\u201d to the Salvation Army at noon, before concluding with a lunch at the Commercial Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>After this, the toys will be distributed by the Salvos to families in need in the days leading up to Christmas so children can find something special waiting under the tree for them on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Toy Run was originally a project of the Ulysses Motorcycle Club but is now under the stewardship of Wooroolin bike tour guide Lynnsay Fryer, who operates from Kerri B\u2019s Bikery.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lynnsay said Christmas Toy Runs were a motorcycling tradition, helping to spread the joy of Christmas to children who were having a tough time of things though no fault of their own.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Lynnsay and his team of helpers have organised 16 \u201cBaskets Of Hope\u201d soft toy drop-off points \u2013 six more than last year \u2013 from Kilkivan to Blackbutt and west to Cooyar, Maidenwell, Kumbia and Proston.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In the north<\/strong>, they\u2019re located at the Kilkivan Store, the Goomeri Bakery, Murgon Moto &amp; More and Murgon\u2019s National Australia Bank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In the centre of the region<\/strong>, drop-off points can be found at Proston Rural Supplies, CROW-FM in Wondai, the Wooroolin Cafe, Kumbia Service Station, Kingaroy\u2019s National Australia Bank, Sunshine Mitre 10 Kingaroy and the Glendon Street Cafe in Kingaroy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Further south<\/strong>, they\u2019re at Bake Your Day in Nanango, the Yarraman Bakery, Yarraman Real Estate in Blackbutt, the Maidenwell Hotel and McCoy\u2019s Cafe at Cooyar (formerly Cooyar Food &amp; Fuel).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Motorcyclists taking part in the Toy Run will also be in the running for a \u201cBest Decorated Bike\u201d prize, so the parade to the Showgrounds promises to be something to see for spectators, too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you would like to help but can\u2019t make it to one of
