At 11:00am Monday:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Firefighters remain at the scene of a vegetation fire burning near Spelling Gully Road at Googa Creek, south of Blackbutt.<\/p>\n

This fire broke out about 2:00pm on Sunday and nine fire crews were called to the incident during the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Firefighters are working to contain the fire but a QFES spokesperson said it was posing no threat to property at this time.<\/p>\n

Surrounding areas may be affected by smoke.<\/p>\n

Urban and rural fire crews were called to a grass fire on the outskirts of Nanango about 1:00pm on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

An area of about three acres was burnt but the fire was quickly contained.<\/p>\n

The fire danger rating for the South Burnett area remains VERY HIGH for the next four days with conditions tipped to be particularly severe on Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n
