Queensland farmers are being encouraged to attend the Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA) being held on November 27-28 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.<\/p>\n

The event and will showcase the latest innovations and technologies for smart food production, in line with ambitions to turn Australian agriculture into a $100 billion industry by 2030.<\/p>\n

Queensland Farmers\u2019 Federation president Stuart Armitage said the event would help drive the sector forward to capitalise on existing opportunities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“GFIA is a forum to bring farmers, agribusiness executives, innovators, scientists, investors and development experts together to share innovative ways to respond to some of the big challenges in the sector,” Mr Armitage said.<\/p>\n

“It also aims to help drive sustainable agriculture for increased productivity and food security.<\/p>\n

“More than 2000 visitors are expected from across Australia and the Asia Pacific for the two-day exhibition and conference.<\/p>\n

“The event will showcase hundreds of innovations in sustainable ag-tech and new opportunities for suppliers, investors and food producers.”<\/p>\n

2000 free tickets are available for food producers, policy makers, scientists and investors interested in attending.<\/p>\n
