The organisers of the annual Kingaroy Christmas Carnival are looking for more sponsors and volunteers for this year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s carnival will be held on Thursday, December 13, and we could do with some help,\u201d Christmas Carnival president Craig Lucas said.<\/p>\n

“This year we’ve seen a series of natural disasters like storms, fires and drought really pound our region.<\/p>\n

“It’s been heart-breaking for people who’ve been hit hardest by these things, and as usual our business community hasn’t hesitated to come forward and lend support.<\/p>\n

“But all this help has soaked up a lot of the money that’s usually put towards the Christmas Carnival.”<\/p>\n

Craig said the Carnival had also lost its major naming rights sponsor, although he was hopeful a new one would emerge before December 13.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But the four other tiers of sponsorship need help, too.<\/p>\n

“We have Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors, as well as voluntary and in-kind sponsors,” Craig said.<\/p>\n

“The top sponsors help pay for the rides that are so popular with families, and our volunteers help set up the carnival, sell ride tickets and tidy up afterwards, or contribute donations for our raffle to help the SES.<\/p>\n

“Every year thousands of families pack out Kingaroy and Haly streets – rain or shine – and it’s always a great night out for everyone in the lead-up to the festive season.<\/p>\n

“But this year, we need a bit more help to do that.”<\/p>\n

The three top levels of sponsorships are Gold ($1000 nor more), Silver ($500-$999) and Bronze ($250-$499).<\/strong><\/p>\n

All three attract sponsorship benefits that include advertising before, during and after the Christmas Carnival, along with extra benefits for Silver and Gold sponsors.<\/p>\n
