Water receding slowly and inspections will most likely occur late this afternoon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Manar Road<\/strong> remains closed. Council staff are working tirelessly to ensure the road is open to traffic with care to allow the stranded visitors to leave Manar Park and travel safely home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note the number of road closures is increasing due to almost every Council road, apart from the Blackbutt area being damaged.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">* * *<\/p>\n<p><strong>Water &amp; Sewerage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emergency Water Restrictions remain in place across all towns in the South Burnett Region. Residents can still use water within the home however no external use is permitted under these restrictions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Wondai Water<\/strong> &#8211; Fully operational.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Murgon Water<\/strong> \u2013 Temporary pump is being connected this morning and it is anticipated that this supply will be restored by end of the day. There is still adequate potable water storage within the town reservoirs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Kingaroy<\/strong> &#8211; Gordonbrook Dam is currently 0.1m over the spillway. A lot of erosion has occurred downstream. Consumers may experience some discoloured water, however it is still safe to drink.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nanango<\/strong> \u2013 Fully operational. There has been no contamination to the water supply and it is still safe to drink.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Proston Rural Water<\/strong> \u2013 Repairs to the McEuen main break is being arranged this morning and it is planned to have at least a temporary repair made by end of the day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Blackbutt<\/strong>, <strong>Wooroolin<\/strong> and <strong>Kumbia<\/strong> water supplies have not been affected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Yallakool<\/strong> will receive a truck load of water today to fill raw water tanks so that the treatment plant can be made operational again and restore potable water supply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Below is an update on the Evacuation Centres across the region:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proston (Town Hall) \u2013 15 people on site<\/li>\n<li>Murgon (PCYC) \u2013 \u00a0no people on site<\/li>\n<li>Nanango \u2013 closed<\/li>\n<li>Kingaroy (Town Hall) \u2013 27 people on site<\/li>\n<li>Yallakool \u2013 Closed<\/li>\n<li>Moffatdale \u2013 0 people on site<\/li>\n<li>Manar Tourist Park \u2013 250 people on site. The Local Disaster Management Group is looking into methods to resupply the area until the road network is restored. Food drops have been successful.\u00a0Council is liaising with the rescue helicopter services to ensuring the health and safety of residents and visitors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Road Closures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Council advises all motorists to obey road signage. Not following road signs endangers peoples lives and takes away our emergency resources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Next update will be at 4:30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Earlier today:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Roads<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Memerambi Barker Creek Road<\/strong> closed at Burnett Highway, Nanango.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Krebs Bridge<\/strong> remains closed at this point in time.
