November 4, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kumbia Race Club will be holding its popular Melbourne Cup race meeting this Tuesday, November 6.<\/p>\n

It will be a five-race meeting with the first race scheduled to leave the barriers at at 1:00pm.<\/p>\n

The feature race, the Huston Motors Kumbia Cup Open Handicap (1400m), will be run at 3:55pm.<\/p>\n

The meeting will also celebrate the Kumbia Race Club’s 91st birthday, and there’ll be a new design of souvenir beer coolers on sale at the track.<\/p>\n

As well as a big Fashions of the Field competition, there’ll also be full TV coverage of the races from Flemington, including the Melbourne Cup.<\/p>\n

On-course bookies will be taking bets on both the local and interstate races.<\/p>\n

A bus will be running from Kingaroy’s Carrollee Hotel to help punters enjoy the day without the hassle of driving, but bookings need to be made at the hotel.<\/p>\n
