ladder with 14 points after four rounds of the South Burnett B Grade cricket competition.<\/p>\n<p>Murgon District are just two points behind, followed by Blackbutt on 11.<\/p>\n<p>In the Gympie A Grade competition, Murgon are in the top slot with 10 points, three clear of Gympie Harlequins.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><strong>B Grade<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Three games of cricket were played in the South Burnett last weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * in the local derby.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cherbourg won the toss and sent Murgon in to bat.<\/p>\n<p>Murgon were 8\/146 after their 40\u00a0 overs with\u00a0Andrew Roderick (55) and\u00a0Shane Sippel (23) top-scoring.<\/p>\n<p>Cherbourg bowlers shared the honours with\u00a0Barry Fisher Snr and Danny Weazel both taking 2\/26 off eight overs.<\/p>\n<p>Lyndon Hopkins finished with 2\/38.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Cherbourg were all out for 74 in the 19th over.<\/p>\n<p>Brendan McCarthy (17) and\u00a0Danny Weazel (11) were best with the bat.<\/p>\n<p>The Murgon bowlers proved lethal with Ryan Sommerfeld taking 4\/9 off five overs; Nicholas Sanewski 2\/12 off three;\u00a0Riley Sippel 2\/14 off four; and Harry Sippel 1\/17 off two.<\/p>\n<p>Murgon won by 72 runs.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_221649\" their match against Nanango played at Kumbia Sportsground.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nanango won the toss and elected to bat.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of their 40 overs, the Scorpions had set a target of 193 runs for the loss of just four wickets.<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Springate, who came in at number four, finished 118 not out.<\/p>\n<p>Sam Scott held up the other end, finishing 34 not out.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Milsom was the best of the Kumbia bowlers, taking 2\/42 off eight overs.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Kumbia overtook the target in the 40th over, finishing with 8\/195 in a nail-biting finish.<\/p>\n<p>The 19 wides and nine no balls added to the scoreboard cost Nanango dearly.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Milsom top-scored for Kumbia with 49 not out, followed by Daniel Trace who was run out for 31.<\/p>\n<p>Opener Bevan Fawcett notched up 30.<\/p>\n<p>Aidan Cavanough, with 2\/14 off three overs, was the best of the Nanango bowlers.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholas Scherger took 2\/35.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Blackbutt proved too strong at home against Wondai, winning by 111 runs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Blackbutt won the toss and batted first, finishing all out for 244 in the 39th over.<\/p>\n<p>Opener Dylan Gilliland top scored with 107 while Dusty Allery made a handy 49 before being run out.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Kerkow (3\/35) and Jeremy Hobbs (2\/22) were the best of the Wondai bowlers.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Wondai were all out for 133.<\/p>\n<p>Francis Hobbs (30) and Jackson Merrit (21)\u00a0 took the most runs.<\/p>\n<p>Dylan Gilliland (2\/6), Jamie Kruger (2\/10), Ethan Norris and Kieran Harvey (both 1\/17) ripped through the Wondai attack.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">* * *<\/p>\n<p>Kingaroy Services forfeited their match against\u00a0Kallindale Warriors due to a player shortage.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><strong>A Grade<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>In was a mixed bag again for South Burnett teams in their Round 2 games played at Gympie at the weekend &#8211; a win for Murgon, and a loss for Kingaroy:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>At Kozminsky Oval, Gympie Colts won the toss and sent Murgon into bat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The visitors finished with 8\/209 off their 40 overs.<\/p>\n<p>Open Jason Webber fell just short of a ton, getting caught on 97.<\/p>\n<p>Ashley Hankinson (28) and\u00a0Nathan Roon (20) also made good starts.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Colts fell short with 6\/185 when they ran out of overs.<\/p>\n<p>Gary McClintock (49) was the top scorer.<\/p>\n<p>Murgon bowler Shane Polzin starved the Gympie side for runs,\u00a0 finishing 1\/12 off eight overs (including six consecutive maidens).<\/p>\n<p>Graham Brown took 2\/32 off eight overs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>At Spencer Oval, Southern District Devils (Kingaroy) faced Western Gympie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gympie won the toss and batted first.<\/p>\n<p>The home side was all out for 159 in the 39th over.<\/p>\n<p>Rodney Cartwright top-scored with 48 off 79 balls, including seven fours.<\/p>\n<p>Bowlers Luke Smith (2\/20) and Kieran Askin (2\/28) were the best of the Kingaroy bowlers.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, the Devils were all out for 112 in the 27th over.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor Herrmann (22) and Dane Bloomfield (20) were best with the bat.<\/p>\n<p>Mathysuthen Velmaran was best with
