Toowoomba Regional Council is inviting Yarraman and Cooyar residents to comment on a draft version of the Toowoomba Region 2019-2024 Corporate Plan this month.<\/p>\n

Mayor Paul Antonio said the new plan would direct Council\u2019s work for the next five years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe plan will set out Council\u2019s five-year vision to 2024 and outline how we plan to support a safe, healthy and engaged region,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe plan will include a vision, mission statement, goals and actions to ensure the region’s future meets the needs and expectations of the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will provide direction for Council as an organisation and guide decision-making, allocation of resources and actions of Councillors and staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe strategic actions identified in the Plan will form the basis of Council\u2019s annual Operational and Financial Plans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finance and Business Strategy Committee chairman Cr Mike Williams said the draft had been developed through feedback received during the life of the 2014-2019 Corporate Plan, a review of existing Council policies and strategies, outcomes of a 2015 regional branding exercise and results of the 2017 Community Survey.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are now seeking community feedback,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Community feedback will be used to guide the development of the final plan adopted by Council in early 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI urge everyone to share their thoughts and ideas on the draft plan by attending one of the community workshops happening around the region this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cA draft version of the Plan will be available online and in hard copy at Council\u2019s Customer Service Centres from Thursday (November 1).”<\/p>\n

The Yarraman workshop will be held from 6:00-7:30pm on Wednesday, November 28, at the Yarraman Memorial Hall in Browne Street.<\/strong><\/p>\n
