The popular “Blue Edge” program has returned to the South Burnett PCYC at Murgon.<\/p>\n

Blue Edge is designed by Blue Light and aims to enhance the lives of youths under the age of 18.<\/p>\n

The program, which ran at the PCYC earlier this year, encourages young people to achieve their potential by fostering positive relationships with their family, teachers, local police and community.<\/p>\n

It fosters leadership, self-esteem, mutual respect and shared responsibilities by showing young people they can take control of their own lives and make smart choices now and into the future.<\/p>\n

This week 21 girls aged from 13 to 17 from Murgon State High School began the program by attending the PCYC.<\/p>\n

Senior Constable Danielle Gordon said it was a wonderful turnout from all of the girls involved.<\/p>\n

Volunteer Bevan Routledge and local Police Liaison Officers put together a morning breakfast spread for the girls.<\/p>\n

The girls will now continue through the program and develop their personal skills with the help of Blue Light and Murgon Police.<\/p>\n
