An irate Kingaroy resident chased a thief who stole his 4WD on Sunday night, ramming the vehicle in Wieden Street.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said police were called to the traffic crash about 8:30pm on Sunday.<\/p>\n

They discovered that one of the vehicles, a Holden Colorado, had been stolen from the driveway of a house in Fairway Drive after it was left unlocked with the keys in the ignition.<\/p>\n

“The owner of the Holden Colorado attempted to chase the stolen vehicle, locating it on Wieden Street,” Snr Sgt Tierney said.<\/p>\n

“When the owner located the vehicle, the offender attempted to drive off, causing the owner to ram it with another vehicle. <\/p>\n

“Extensive damage was caused to both vehicles.<\/p>\n

“The offender has then run off on foot, with the owner following but unable to catch him.”<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Tierney said the male offender was Caucasian, about 178cm tall with a slim build.<\/p>\n
