We’re used to seeing LifeFlight choppers helping South Burnett residents … now the organisation is asking for a helping hand on the ground here<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

RACQ LifeFlight has put a call out for volunteers to help them.<\/p>\n

At least $65,000 worth of donations to the life-saving service are sitting in tins in workplaces but there aren’t enough volunteers to collect them.<\/p>\n

LifeFlight Foundation Director\u00a0Leanne Angel said that last year the LifeFlight helicopters\u00a0responded to 1819 lifesaving missions.<\/p>\n

“More than 200 volunteers are\u00a0the backbone of the LifeFlight Foundation, helping to raise vital funds\u00a0to keep the helicopter\u00a0crews flying to the aid of Queenslanders,” she said.<\/p>\n

But more are needed and the LifeFlight Foundation is encouraging locals to get involved and sign up to be a volunteer.<\/p>\n

Roles include administration assistance, guest speaking at local functions as well as collecting and distributing donation tins.<\/p>\n
