South Burnett Regional Council will be replacing a water main in Chester Street, Nanango, during the next two months.<\/p>\n

Work on the replacement began on Wednesday and is expected to be completed by November 30, weather permitting.<\/p>\n

Machinery will be in use while work is being carried out and any residents passing nearby are advised to be cautious.<\/p>\n

A Council spokesperson said the replacement was being carried out to ensure the long term sustainability and efficiency of the Council’s water system.<\/p>\n

Chester Street has been the site of several water leaks this year and the existing water main is believed to be more than 60 years old.<\/p>\n
