A driver was lucky to escape injury when their car skidded off the D’Aguilar Highway on the outskirts of Kingaroy on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, from Kingaroy Police, said it appeared the car struck a large volume of water on the road.<\/p>\n

The driver lost control as the vehicle aquaplaned, ending up in scrub on the side of the highway.<\/p>\n

“Fortunately no one was injured,” Senior Sergeant Frank said.<\/p>\n

“It could easily have been a fatality.”<\/p>\n

The highway was open to traffic at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n
