Firefighters cut a firebreak in a bid to protect property from a large fire burning at Durong on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The blaze, near Ironbark Road, was reported about 12:30pm.<\/p>\n

At 4:20pm,\u00a0 there were 10 fire crews on the scene.<\/p>\n

A QFES spokesperson said the fire had burned out an area of about 80 acres and was posing a potential threat to a nearby property.<\/p>\n

To combat this, crews were cutting a firebreak on the northern side of the property using a bulldozer.<\/p>\n

Any residents concerned their property is under threat should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.<\/p>\n

At 3:00pm, three fire crews responded to a grass fire burning near Haly Creek Road at Goodger.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Smoke from the fire was also drifting across Kingaroy-Cooyar Road.<\/p>\n
