Do you know what to do – and what not to do – during an emergency or natural disaster?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Keep an eye out on Saturday for firefighters, SES members and other volunteers who will be knocking on doors and setting up stalls across the South Burnett as part of “Operation Knock Knock”.<\/p>\n

The aim is to spread important safety messages as well as raise awareness about the importance of resilience, preparation for hazards and community connectedness.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Saturday you may receive a knock on the door from emergency services to discuss the importance of being prepared in the event of an emergency,” South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell said.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s important to be aware of incidents that may occur in the South Burnett and for the community to work together to be prepared.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Saturday, about 460 properties will be door knocked in Wilkesdale, Benarkin, Byee, Cherbourg and East Nanango.<\/p>\n

QFES and local emergency service agencies will also be operating stalls at:<\/strong><\/p>\n
