The 2018 Queensland State Titles for U16 125cc Solo and Pairs will be contested in the main ring of Kingaroy’s Showgrounds on Saturday, September 15<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

September 11, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main ring of Kingaroy Showgrounds will be abuzz with the sound of motorcycle racing this Saturday (September 15).<\/p>\n

The State’s top young motorcycle speedway riders will be competing in the Queensland State Titles for the Under-16 125cc Best Solo and Best Pairs, battling it out for the honour of being crowned this year’s best.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club is hosting this year’s State Titles, and club secretary Tracey Tunstall said it was the fourth year in a row the club had been allocated the prestigious event.<\/p>\n

The day will begin with the Under 16 125cc Solo race, where twelve riders will be trying for line honours:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  2. Maurice Brown<\/li>\n
  3. Flynn Nicol<\/li>\n
  4. Troy Jackson<\/li>\n
  5. Liam Powell<\/li>\n
  6. Dane Walsh<\/li>\n
  7. Tate Zischke<\/li>\n
  8. Jetzen Lyons<\/li>\n
  9. Joshua Beetham<\/li>\n
  10. Jasper Freebairn<\/li>\n
  11. James Pearson<\/li>\n
  12. Nathan Goman<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Riders will be briefed at 10:00am and the race will begin at 10:30am.<\/p>\n

    They’ll be followed in the early afternoon by six teams racing hard to take out the Best Pairs title:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Team 1 \u2013 Nathan Goman and Jasper Freebairn<\/li>\n
    • Team 2 \u2013 Joshua Beetham and Liam Powell<\/li>\n
    • Team 3 \u2013 Jetzen Lyons and Troy Jackson<\/li>\n
    • Team 4 \u2013 Flynn Nicol and Tate Zischke<\/li>\n
    • Team 5 \u2013 James Pearson and Maurice Brown<\/li>\n
    • Team 6 \u2013 Blake Warrington and Dane Walsh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Riders will be briefed at 1:45pm and racing will get underway at 2:00pm.<\/p>\n

      In between, five PeeWee riders will be acting as a support class for both events, giving Cohan Sanders, Corey Van Elswyk, Summer Van Elswyk, Jonathan Fulton and Theo Afeaki the opportunity to demonstrate their riding skills.<\/p>\n

      Presentations for both State Titles will be held immediately after the completion of Best Pairs racing.<\/p>\n

      Canteen facilities will be available on the grounds, and spectator entry is free.<\/p>\n

      “It would be great to see lots of spectators supporting these riders doing what they love,” Tracey said.<\/p>\n
