Parents and children from Kingaroy Kindy have thrown their weight behind the “South Burnett Food For Farmers” appeal being held in conjunction with Nanango Lions Club.<\/p>\n

The appeal, organised by Nanango resident Trina Lucas, is collecting non-perishable foodstuffs and household items which will be distributed to drought-affected farming families via Lions clubs.<\/p>\n

Trina has set up collection points at multiple locations in the South Burnett, including Huston Motors in Kingaroy, Nanango SupaIGA, Murgon SupaIGA, Wondai IGA, BP Fuel Nanango, Bunya Nursery Murgon and Yarraman Produce.<\/p>\n

When the Kingaroy Kindergarten heard about the project, they were keen to help.<\/p>\n

The Platypus (Monday) and Koala (Friday)\u00a0groups of children from the kindy were invited to dress up as farmers and bring along a non-perishable item to donate.<\/p>\n

At the end of the two days almost a ute-load of goods had been collected.<\/p>\n
