An 18-year-old Cherbourg man has been charged with attempted armed robbery following an incident at Ryke Fuel in Kingaroy on August 12.<\/p>\n

Police arrested the man on Thursday.<\/p>\n

He will also face two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle following the theft of a Ford Fiesta from Murgon which was allegedly used during the Ryke incident.<\/p>\n

Police later recovered this vehicle near the Cherbourg Cemetery.<\/p>\n

The man has also been charged over a break-and-enter at Murgon, stealing a charity tin from Ryke Fuel, wilful damage of a window and freezer at Ryke Fuel, and with a break-in at the Fitzroy Hotel.<\/p>\n

He is expected to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday (August 21).<\/p>\n

Police inquiries are continuing to locate a second man recorded on CCTV at Ryke Fuel.<\/p>\n
