Minor Premiers Gunners will play Wests in the Major Semi-Final on Saturday night<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

It’s crunch time in the 2018 Football South Burnett competition with the minor and major semi-finals being played this weekend at the Kingaroy soccer fields.<\/p>\n

Gunners finished on top in the single-division men’s competition, while Nanango Panthers were minor premiers in the women’s division.<\/p>\n

Minor Semi-Finals<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Noon – Women – Wests v Gunnettes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • 2:00pm – Men – Barambah v Nanango<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Major Semi-Finals<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • 4:00pm – Women – Nanango v Barambah<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • 6:00pm – Men – Gunners v Wests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          The winners of the minor semi-finals will go on to play the losers of the major semi-finals in the preliminary finals on August 25.<\/p>\n

          The winners of the major semi-finals will go straight through to the Grand Final on September 1.<\/p>\n

          In the Toowoomba Football League competition, South Burnett United will be taking on the Chinchilla Bears on Saturday night in a key game ahead of the final series.<\/strong><\/p>\n

          The match – which will confirm the minor premiers in the competition – will be played at the Dalby PCYC grounds at 7:00pm.<\/p>\n

          Arch-rivals Willowburn White will face the Dalby Tigers earlier in the evening.<\/p>\n

          This is the last round of fixtures ahead of the finals series, which will be played across three weekends in Toowoomba.<\/p>\n

          Assuming both United and Willowburn White have wins on Saturday, the South Burnett team will finish the season as minor premiers.<\/p>\n

          But if Willowburn wins and United loses,\u00a0 Willowburn White will finish on top of the table.<\/p>\n

          If Willowburn wins and United plays a draw, the minor premiership will be decided on for and against.<\/p>\n

          Either way, Willowburn White and United are guaranteed to face each other in Week 1 of the finals, with the winner earning a spot in the Grand Final.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
