{"id":215038,"date":"2018-08-07T20:21:26","date_gmt":"2018-08-07T10:21:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=215038"},"modified":"2020-07-29T13:00:31","modified_gmt":"2020-07-29T03:00:31","slug":"cash-stolen-during-break-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2018\/08\/07\/cash-stolen-during-break-in\/","title":{"rendered":"Cash Stolen During Break-In"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/crimestoppers2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-96370\" src=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/crimestoppers2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"127\" \/><\/a>July 27, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kingaroy Police are investigating a break-and-enter at a business on the Bunya Highway.<\/p>\n<p>Staff arrived at work on August 2 and found the building had been broken into and a quantity of cash stolen.<\/p>\n<p>The thieves gained entry by jemmying a door.<\/p>\n<p>Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>On Tuesday, July 31, a man entered a Kingaroy Street business at 11:50am, removed a soldering iron from the store&#8217;s display and left without paying.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When confronted by staff outside the store, he ran off.<\/p>\n<p>The man was described as 170cm tall, aged between his late 20s to early 30s, Caucasian with a skinny face and lots of facial hair. He had long brown hair and was wearing wearing black sunglasses, a dark\/black jacket with a beige hood and dark cargo pants.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-00.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>On Monday (July 30), police intercepted a 19-year-old Murgon man on Albert Street, Kingaroy, at 10:20am driving a Toyota sedan. Police allege he was unlicensed due to a SPER suspension.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just just 30 minutes later, the man was again stopped, this time driving on the Bunya Highway.<\/p>\n<p>He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 20 charged with two counts of unlicensed driving. His vehicle was also impounded for seven days.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>On Tuesday (July 31), police spotted a Holden Commodore parked on Glendon Street, Kingaroy, just after midnight with its headlights on and engine running.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A 49-year-old Teelah man had got out of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Police requested an RBT at which time the man got back into the car and drove off.<\/p>\n<p>Police followed the vehicle and attempted to intercept it on Curtis Road but the vehicle allegedly accelerated heavily away from police.<\/p>\n<p>Police then discontinued the attempted intercept.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle was subsequently located at a Jarrah Street address where the man again allegedly refused to provide a breath test.<\/p>\n<p>He later also allegedly fail to provide a sample of breath when required at the police station.<\/p>\n<p>He will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 20 charged with failing to supply a sample of breath, failing to remain and failing to stop.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>On Friday (August 3), two vehicles collided at 4:30pm at the intersection of Ivy Street and Tessmanns Road, Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Police allege a Toyota sedan travelling on Ivy Street failed to give way to Mitsubishi ute on Tessmanns Road.<\/p>\n<p>The 21-year-old female driver of the Toyota was issued a traffic infringement notice.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Traffic offences:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday (July 31), police pulled over a Toyota stationwagon on River Road, Kingaroy, at 3:10pm being driven by a 19-year-old Inverlaw man.\u00a0Investigations allegedly revealed his driver&#8217;s licence was demerit point suspended. The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3 charged with unlicensed driving.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday (August 1), a 26-year-old Kingaroy man was intercepted by police at 8:50am driving a Mazda sedan on Markwell Street, Kingaroy. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3 charged with disqualified driving. His vehicle was immobilised for seven days.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, police stopped a Ford ute on William Street, Kingaroy, for an RBT at 10:50pm. The driver, a 22-year-old Kingaroy man, allegedly returned a positive test (0.169 BAC). He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3 charged with driving under the influence.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, a 23-year-old Kingaroy man allegedly returned a positive RBT after police stopped his Mitsubishi ute on Carinya Street, Kingaroy, at 7:40pm. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 20 charged with driving while over the middle alcohol limit (O.114 BAC). He was also suspended from driving.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, police intercepted a Holden sedan on First Ave, Kingaroy, at 8:35pm being driven by a 44-year-old Kingaroy man. He allegedly tested positive at a roadside drug test. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court charged with drug driving.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Drug offences:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Monday (July 30), police attended an address in Fisher Street, Kingaroy, in relation to another matter. While there, they allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis. A 21-year-old Nanango man will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3 charged with possessing a dangerous drug and unlawful possession of a restricted drug.<\/p>\n<p>Also on Monday, Kingaroy Police had occasion to speak with a 36-year-old Kingaroy man outside the police station in relation to another matter. A search of his person allegedly located a used syringe. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3 charged with failing to dispose of a syringe.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday (August 1), police searched a 29-year-old Kingaroy man on Youngman Street, Kingaroy at 11:45pm, allegedly finding a small quantity of cannabis and a drug utensil. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, police stopped a Ford sedan on Clark and Swendsons Road at Kingaroy at 12:45am. A search of the vehicle allegedly located a small quantity of a dangerous substance. A 39-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 20 charged with possessing a dangerous drug and contravening a requirement.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, police received information regarding a Holden sedan parked in a suspicious spot in Hilltop Court, Kingaroy, at 3:15pm. Police attended and located a 19-year-old Carina man in the vehicle. A search of the car allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis. The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 3.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>On Friday, police on patrol in Kingaroy Street at 10:00pm spotted a 27-year-old Murgon man and a 26-year-old Kingaroy woman walking along Haly Street allegedly consuming liquor from glasses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The pair were each issued with Liquor Infringements Notices for consuming liquor in a public place ($130 fine).<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>At 2:25am on Friday, police had cause to speak to a 25-year-old Kingaroy woman on Youngman Street, Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A search of the woman allegedly located a knife for which she had no lawful reason.
