Questacon – the National Science and Technology Centre based in Canberra – is bringing its special pop-up science centre back to the South Burnett next week.<\/p>\n

The Questacon Science Circus will be at Kingaroy Town Hall on Sunday, August 5, for parents and children to explore science and have fun with a range of hands-on exhibits.<\/p>\n

There’ll more than 40 interactive science exhibits to experiment with as well as live science shows to enjoy throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Visitors will be able to spin like an ice-skater, discover how fast they can throw a ball, freeze their shadow on a wall and test their reflexes.<\/p>\n

The Science Circus is staffed by postgraduate students studying a Master of Science Communication Outreach at the Australian National University.<\/p>\n

They spend three months on the road, talking to people about science and technology on visits to communities all over Australia.<\/p>\n

The Questacon team will also be dropping into schools across the South Burnett during their visit.<\/p>\n

The Science Circus\u00a0has visited more than 500 towns and communities since it began in 1985.<\/p>\n

  • The Science Circus will be open from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Kingaroy Town Hall on Sunday, August 5.\u00a0Entry is $6 for adults, students\/concession $5, and family $18 (cash only, no EFTPOS).
