Kingaroy Police are investigating the theft of various items from an open shipping container behind a Haly Street business.<\/p>\n

The offence occurred at some time between 7:00am on Wednesday (July 11) and 7:00am the next day.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said the stolen items included a red spray tank, suitable for towing behind a quad bike; and a 50 litre 12 volt fridge.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

On Saturday, thieves forced a door to a Victoria Street business between 9:30am and 10:45am, taking the keys to a blue Toyota Corolla which they then drove away.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vehicle was later located at 1:15am on Sunday, July 15, in Glendon Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Between 3:30pm on July 8 and 11:00am on July 9, would-be thieves gained entry to a house in Earl Street, Kingaroy, by forcing a rear window.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The offenders appear to have done a selective search through rooms in the house but it is unknown at this time if any property was stolen.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Between Tuesday July 10, and Friday July 13, would-be thieves attempted to jemmy open the rear door of a home in Lorikeet Circuit, Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It appears no entry was gained or property taken.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A 42-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with property and drug offences after he was found squatting in a vacant building in Alford Street, Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police allegedly located a small quantity of drugs as well as property believed stolen from a church in Alford Street on July 8.<\/p>\n

The man was remanded in custody and will reappear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 6.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

No one was hurt when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Alford and Somerset streets at 9:00 last Monday (July 9).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police allege the crash has occurred when a Mazda ute failed to give way to a Toyota ute travelling on Alford Street.<\/p>\n

The driver of the Mazda, an 84-year-old Nanango man, was issued a traffic infringement notice for failing to give way.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A 45-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with drug driving after police stopped his BMW sedan on Alford Street, Kingaroy, at 4:50pm on July 9.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He will appear in Kingaroy magistrates Court on August 20.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Officers from Kingaroy responded to a variety of incidents between July 9-15, including three domestic violence calls.<\/p>\n

They also issued 46 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 70 roadside breath tests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
