The generosity of the skateboarding community has helped a bunch of Murgon and Cherbourg kids to get gnarly.<\/p>\n

Well-known Sunshine Coast skate coach\u00a0Mat Chigwidden, from “Chiggy’s Skateboarding”, put out a call on social media for people willing to donate their old decks for a good cause.<\/p>\n

The result was on show at the Murgon Skate Park on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Chiggy and mate Andrew Moore brought along about 40 boards to give to local children.<\/p>\n

They also put on a display of top-level skating.<\/p>\n

The kids watched Chiggy get air on the ramps, and learned some new tricks to try out on their own.<\/p>\n

There was also a mini-workshop to repair some of the donated decks.<\/p>\n

CTC Youth Services put on a sausage sizzle to top off the holiday treat for the kids (and their parents) .<\/p>\n
