A truck driver is recovering in hospital after he was trapped inside the cab of his over-turned prime mover\u00a0for more than six hours on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was laden with cattle when it left the road and overturned on Auburn Road at Auburn,\u00a0north of Chinchilla.<\/p>\n

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was despatched to the scene just after 9:30am following reports of a truck rollover.<\/p>\n

Firefighters had to use cutting equipment to free the man from the crushed cabin.<\/p>\n

The aeromedical team worked alongside QAS paramedics to stabilise the man before flying him to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

He was transported in a serious but stable condition.<\/p>\n
