The Gumnut Place at Murgon is looking for volunteers who’d like to give back to the local community.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would love some more volunteers to assist us in supporting people with a disability at Gumnut Place,\u201d\u00a0Gumnut Disability Service Manager Anne Wendt said.<\/p>\n

\u201cVolunteering is a great opportunity to socialise with other support workers and volunteers while helping those with a disability. We are like one big family at Gumnut Place and pride ourselves on making everyone welcome.<\/p>\n

\u201cGumnut provides people with a disability employment in our wood workshop, kitchen and laundry or through our engraving or document destruction services.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gumnut Place was begun in 1986 by a group of committed families and friends of people with disabilities and has since grown and been developed by the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cGumnut has always had great support from the local community. We would love some more volunteers from the community to come and help us to continue to provide this vital service,” Mrs Wendt said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe provide a variety of services and are always looking for people with different skills and knowledge to assist us.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur commercial kitchen and wood workshop are a hive of activity. There is never a dull moment, which makes it a fun place to volunteer your time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would also love someone with creative skills and an attention for detail to volunteer in our trophy and engraving services.<\/p>\n
