A 60-year-old man has been summonsed to appear in court to face drug charges after detectives allegedly located two kilos of dried cannabis during a raid earlier this week.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday and Wednesday, detectives from the Kingaroy Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural), executed a number of search warrants on rural properties in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

Police allegedly located the cannabis during one of these searches.<\/p>\n

The man will face charges of producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs (excess quantity) and possessing drug utensils.<\/p>\n

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court next month.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolice rely heavily on community information in their efforts to combat drug offences in rural areas,” Detective Sergeant Mark Ferling said.<\/p>\n

“I encourage members of the public to continue supplying information to their local police or Crime Stoppers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two more juveniles have been charged following a string of incidents in Murgon, Cherbourg and Tiaro.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 16-year-old youth appeared in the Murgon Children’s Court on Wednesday charged with car theft, break and enter, attempted robbery and wilful damage of a police car.<\/p>\n

He was refused bail and will re-appear in Murgon Children’s Court on June 20.<\/p>\n

A 14-year-old boy was charged with break and enter, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing petrol.<\/p>\n
