The Barambah Environmental Education Centre’s<\/a><\/strong> P&C Association has been awarded $26,100 in the first round of the State Government’s “Everyone\u2019s Environment” grants.<\/p>\n

The money will be used for weed management and native vegetation improvement in Wrattens Conservation Park, near Gallangowan.<\/p>\n

The Barambah EEC is located about 40km from Goomeri. It is a school environmental education centre for south-east Queensland primary and secondary schools and tertiary students and also takes weekend bookings for community groups.<\/p>\n

Environment Minister Andrew Powell said the “Everyone\u2019s Environment” scheme would provide $3 million to community-based groups this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother $4 million will be available in the second and again in the third round over the next two years,” he said.<\/p>\n
