Energy and Water Supply Minister Mark McArdle<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Energy and Water Supply Minister Mark McArdle will be visiting the South Burnett Regional Council and Toowoomba Regional Council next month to have talks about electricity and water supply issues.<\/p>\n

The visit, on February 26-27, is part of a wider tour the Minister is planning in south-east Queensland.<\/p>\n

Mr McArdle said he valued the opportunity to visit regional councils because it gave him further insight into the real issues being faced by regional Queenslanders in relation to his portfolio.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am really looking forward to meeting with local mayors and councillors to hear first-hand their ideas and concerns about energy and water supply in their areas,\u201d Mr McArdle said.<\/p>\n

He said providing safe, reliable and affordable energy and water supply was vital to meeting the basic needs of communities and for the future development of Queensland.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is why my department is developing 30-year plans for the delivery of these essential services.<\/p>\n
