The State Government has announced a special $1.25 million round of\u00a0Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants to mark the 25th anniversary of the funding program.<\/p>\n

Attorney-General Yvette D\u2019Ath, who announced the extra round in Toowoomba on Saturday, said\u00a0applications were now open.<\/p>\n

Mrs D’Ath said that said that since the first round in 1994, more than 54,000 grants totalling more than $816 million had been awarded to community organisations across Queensland.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo celebrate the significant milestone, I\u2019m delighted to announce an additional 10 grants up to $100,000, and one grant up to $250,000, for eligible not-for-profits,” she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese grants both celebrate the history and look to the future of the fund, helping our grass-roots organisations continue to deliver vital services and long-lasting impacts to benefit the future of our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cExpressions of interest for the grants from a minimum of $35,000 are sought from now until August 31,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe process is quick and easy \u2013 applicants can view the full guidelines online and complete a pdf form which can be submitted via email.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose successful in their expressions of interest will then be invited to submit a full application.\u201d<\/p>\n
