Speed, inexperience and drunkenness have been blamed for a crash in which four teenagers were injured in the early hours of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

A Toyota Corolla, driven by a 17-year-old Caboolture youth, rolled on Peterson Drive, near Kingaroy, about 5:00am.<\/p>\n

The driver and three passengers managed to extricate themselves from the wreck before emergency services arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n

Acting Senior Sergeant Brent Gerber, from Kingaroy Police,\u00a0said the driver wandered away and was found by police about 400m down the road.<\/p>\n

When breathtested, he allegedly blew 0.336 BAC – almost seven times the legal limit.<\/p>\n

“Early indications suggest the vehicle was speeding,” Acting Snr Sgt Gerber said.<\/p>\n

“It was exacerbated by inexperience and the level of intoxication.”<\/p>\n

The vehicle was heading towards the D’Aguilar Highway when it left the road and rolled.<\/p>\n

The passengers were a 15-year-old Blackbutt boy, an 18-year-old Blackbutt North man and a 17-year-old Nanango woman.<\/p>\n

All four were transported to Kingaroy Hospital.<\/p>\n

The driver was later airlifted by the SGAS LifeFlight helicopter to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition with a suspected neck injury.<\/p>\n
