An abandoned motel development site in Kingaroy will soon be home to a Bunnings store<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kingaroy’s new Bunnings store has moved a step closer with tenders closing on Thursday for construction of the building.<\/p>\n

The store will be built on the D’Aguilar Highway near Harris Road on the site of a failed motel development.<\/p>\n

A Bunnings spokesperson told southburnett.com.au<\/strong>\u00a0it was too early to estimate construction times or an opening date.<\/p>\n

“Once a builder has been selected we will know more,” she said.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy store is one of three that Bunnings are currently planning in Queensland.<\/p>\n

Construction tenders for the others, located at Robina and Lawnton, also closed on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Tenders also closed on Thursday for developers interested in the South Burnett Regional Council’s former Kingaroy depot site in Pound Street.<\/p>\n
