The Kingaroy Scouts’ 12th annual car show attracted more than 60 entries and at least 200 spectators by mid-morning on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The show, which is held in the grounds of the Scouts’ den in James Street, is the group’s major annual fundraiser.<\/p>\n

District Badge Secretary Jenny Behm said the money raised help to run the scouts for another year as well as carry out improvements to the Den and grounds.<\/p>\n

Eighteen prizes, all donated by Kingaroy businesses, were distributed to entries in the various car and bike categories.<\/p>\n

As well as the large display of cars and bikes, visitors also had the opportunity to browse stalls, listen to live music and watch Queensland Fire and Emergency Services’ presentations, including a very popular demonstration showing how firefighters extract an injured person from a wrecked motor vehicle using hydraulic rescue tools.<\/p>\n
