Road crews are only tackling a few new jobs this month because council workers are still engaged on projects begun in April.<\/p>\n

Roads portfolio chair Cr Spud Jones told Wednesday’s Council meeting reconstruction works from Tropical Cyclone Debbie were also consuming a lot of staff effort.<\/p>\n

This month, workers will continue building new footpaths along Haly Street in Kingaroy and Stephens Street in Murgon.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy crew will tackle the section between Murphy and Willowglen streets and the Murgon crew, the section between Stephens Street and the entrance to the Jubilee Swimming Pool.<\/p>\n

Cr Jones said the widening and overlay of Wattle Camp Road at Wattle Camp is now more than half completed and work on the realignment of part of Memerambi-Barkers Creek road had begun, with clearing and grubbing works completed.<\/p>\n
