South Burnett councillor Roz Frohloff ticked an item off her bucket list on Saturday when she took on a steer at the Nanango Show Rodeo.<\/p>\n

“I didn’t quite last the eight seconds but at least I got out of the chute,” Cr Frohloff said.<\/p>\n

There was a serious side to the risky stunt … Cr Frohloff wanted to raise cash for the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue service.<\/p>\n

And she was more successful at that than she was at rodeo riding, raising more than $3000 online and on the night.<\/p>\n

Cr Frohloff \u00a0understands what the LifeFlight Rescue crews face every day.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I was a paramedic for 20 years before I joined the South Burnett Regional Council and used to work alongside the aeromedical crews,” Cr Frohloff said.<\/p>\n

“You never know when you may need LifeFlight. Their work in the South Burnett is invaluable.<\/p>\n

“I’d jump on the steer again if it meant raising more money for LifeFlight.”<\/p>\n

LifeFlight fundraising co-ordinator Mandy Hentschel said was thanks to the determination of people such as Roz that LifeFlight was able to come to the aid of thousands of Queenslanders in their time of need.<\/p>\n

“What Roz has accomplished is incredible, she stepped outside her comfort zone and really did go the extra mile to raise vital funds for the LifeFlight Foundation,” Mandy said.<\/p>\n
