An 18-year-old man who was shadow boxing and allegedly threatening to shoot people in Kingaroy last Monday morning was arrested by police and taken to the Kingaroy Watchhouse.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said the unarmed man was shirtless and shadow boxing as he walked along Glendon Street issuing threats.<\/p>\n

“The man continued his behaviour despite being told to desist and so was arrested,” Snr Sgt Tierney said.<\/p>\n

The man appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance.<\/p>\n

He was later released from custody and issued with an infringement notice for committing a public nuisance offence ($378).<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Between 10:40am and 11:30am last Monday, an unknown person attempted to gain entry to a Youngman Street residence by smashing a rear window. <\/strong><\/p>\n

No entry was gained nor any property stolen.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Kingaroy police were called to a collision that occurred at 5:45am last Tuesday on the corner of Fisher and Alford streets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police believe a Holden Commodore being driven by a 37-year-old Urangan man failed to negotiate a corner, hitting a Subaru station wagon being driven by a 34-year-old Sandy Ridges man.<\/p>\n

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene but no one was injured.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A 34-year-old Caboolture man will face multiple charges after police pulled over a Holden station wagon on the Bunya Highway last Tuesday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vehicle was allegedly doing 95km\/h in a 60km\/h zone.<\/p>\n

The driver will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on June 4 charged with exceeding the speed limit, driving an unregistered vehicle and unlicensed driving.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A 14-year-old Murgon boy was arrested \u00a0last Wednesday in relation to an alleged drive-off offence at a Kingaroy service station on April 15.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He has been bailed to appear in Murgon Children\u2019s Court on a charge of stealing.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Thieves entered a house in Banksia Drive last Thursday, removing items while the residents were at home.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They allegedly entered through a closed but unlocked rear door. They then unlocked and propped open the front door of the house before searching through rooms. A PlayStation 4 and speakers were stolen.<\/p>\n

In a separate incident, at some time between 3:30pm on April 24 and 8:00am on April 26, thieves entered a King Street premises, apparently through an unlocked rear door.<\/p>\n

Cash, alcohol and office equipment was stolen.<\/p>\n

On Friday afternoon, the occupants of a white Commodore with a red P plate allegedly tried to steal a wheelie bin from the front of a residence in Siefert Street, Crawford.<\/p>\n

They left in the vehicle when they were disturbed, leaving the property behind.<\/p>\n

Investigations into all three incidents are continuing.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At 11:40pm on Friday, police pulled over the driver of a Holden Commodore on Alford Street for a roadside breath test.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police will allege that, while speaking with the 24-year-old Kingaroy man, they smelled burnt cannabis in the vehicle.<\/p>\n

A search allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis and amphetamine as well as drug utensils and a knife.<\/p>\n

The man will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 14 charged with possessing a dangerous drug, possessing drug utensils and possessing a knife in a public place.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At 8:05pm on Saturday, Kingaroy police attended a Windsor Circle house in relation to another matter. <\/strong><\/p>\n

While there, they located a small quantity of cannabis in the possession of the resident, a 19-year-old Kingaroy man.<\/p>\n

The man was dealt with under the provisions of the drug diversion program.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A 28-year-old Kingaroy man was stopped by police for an RBT at 9:19pm on Sunday in Haly Street, Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The man allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test of 0.157 BAC.<\/p>\n

The man was arrested and will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 14 charged with drink driving.<\/p>\n

His licence was also suspended immediately until the matter is finalised in court.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During the past week, Kingaroy Police have also attended two calls related to domestic violence incidents, issued 10 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 184 roadside breath tests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
