A harvester cut the power supply to more than 400 customers north of Murgon today when it brought down high voltage powerlines.<\/p>\n

An Ergon Energy spokesman said crews were on the scene of the incident along Oakfield Road quickly and were able to restore supply to most customers in just over an hour.<\/p>\n

However 116 customers in the Tansey area were expected to be without power until late this afternoon while repairs were finalised.<\/p>\n

While there were no injuries as a result of the machine\u2019s impact, the Ergon spokesman said the incident was a close call for the operator.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny accident like this highlights the need for machinery operators to observe the \u2018look up and live\u2019 message while they are doing their job,\u201d the spokesman said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
