Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington and Member for Glass House Andrew Powell have joined forces to call for funding to fix the D\u2019Aguilar Highway between Kilcoy and Woodford.<\/p>\n

The pair have launched a petition calling on the State Government to stop “patching” the highway.<\/p>\n

Mrs Frecklington said there had been the growing number of complaints about this busy section of highway.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just can\u2019t wait any longer. The Labor Government needs to put urgent funding towards resurfacing the section between Kilcoy and Woodford,\u201d Mrs Frecklington said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAndrew and I have launched a petition so we can demonstrate the huge amount of community concern about the current state of this road.”<\/p>\n

Mr Powell said that while other sections of the D\u2019Aguilar Highway had received much-needed upgrades, the section between Woodford and Kilcoy continued to deteriorate with every downpour.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll we seem to get are these basic patch jobs which just can\u2019t cope with the high level of traffic we are now seeing on the D\u2019Aguilar,\u201d Mr Powell said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey need to stop this patching and reseal the road urgently,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
