The bravery of the three men who rescued a young boy from Saturday’s horrific house fire tragedy in Kingaroy will be appropriately recognised, the Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police said on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Senior Sergeant David Tierney told media the the men simply didn’t give up, knocking on windows until a young boy’s head popped up at a side window.<\/p>\n

The four-year-old child was rushed to Kingaroy Hospital with initial fears he had airway burns, but fortunately he had inhaled smoke but had no other physical injuries.<\/p>\n

He has now been released back into the care of relatives.<\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Tierney said he would now “fill out the paperwork” to ensure the three men who rescued the child were recognised.<\/p>\n

He confirmed the ages of the fire victims: A 47-year-old male, a two-year-old child and an 11-month-old baby.<\/p>\n

They were all located in the gutted loungeroom of the home.<\/p>\n

A woman, believed to be the mother of the children, is still in Kingaroy Hospital being treated for shock.<\/p>\n
