South Burnett Saints players turned out en masse on Saturday to sign-up for the 2018 season<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Match 18, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South Burnett Saints AFL club has some big plans for 2018, including the re-introduction of junior teams to play in a mini local competition on Friday nights.<\/p>\n

The Saints held a successful sign-on day for adults and chidlren at Lyle Vidler Oval on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Women’s coach Dan Trace said the Saints Women’s team made it to the qualifying final last year, and were looking forward to another big year.<\/p>\n

The squad is already large enough to form a team, but more players are also invited to sign up.<\/p>\n

The Saints’ men also have plenty of players, but “will never say no to new players”.<\/p>\n

The men’s first game for 2018 will be a practice match against the Chinchilla Suns on April 7 which will be played at Lyle Vidler Oval.<\/p>\n

Round 1 of the competition will kick off on April 21.<\/p>\n

Would-be players who missed out on signing up on Saturday should keep an eye on the club’s Facebook page.<\/p>\n

A second sign-on day will be held, this time at a date to fixed, in Kingaroy Shoppingworld, or they could just come along to any training night.<\/p>\n
