A Craft Beer Garden introduced at last year’s Wine And Food In The Park Festival is set to expand in 2018.<\/p>\n

“We know not everyone likes wine, which is why we’ve always had a general bar in the grounds where guests could buy mid-strength beers and mixers,” Festival president Dafyd Martindale said.<\/p>\n

“A few years ago Tim Harris from the Commercial Hotel suggested we should expand a little to include craft beers as well, so we added a few to our line-up.<\/p>\n

“Last year Tim upgraded his concept into a full-blown Craft Beer Garden complete with tables and chairs, and that went down a treat.”<\/p>\n

“However Tim moved out of the region towards the end of 2017, so the organising committee has taken on his idea and we’ll be expanding it even further at Saturday’s Festival.”<\/p>\n

Mr Martindale said this year organisers will adding cider to the line-up, another new thing never seen at Wine and Food before.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“We’re always looking for new ways to delight our guests, and lots of people enjoy a chilled cider on a warm day.”<\/p>\n

The Festival will be bringing back the zany Kombi Keg Bus from Brisbane that drew so many positive comments last year, and it will be serving up chilled Wild Yak Ale and 150 Lashes Pale Ale, along with Somersby cider.<\/p>\n

“The Craft Beer Garden will be located near the Festival’s top entrance, and it will be pretty hard to miss – we’re looking at decorating it up in a barnyard theme.<\/p>\n

“It will offer an excellent view of the main stage, and we hope it will be a great place for people to take a pause and relax during the day.”<\/p>\n

The 19th annual Wine and Food In The Park festival will be held at Memorial Park in Haly Street, Kingaroy from noon to 8:00pm this Saturday, March 10.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
