Agriculture Minister Mark Furner<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Four finalists have been announced for the prestigious 2018 AgriFutures Rural Women\u2019s Award.<\/p>\n

Agriculture Minister Mark Furner congratulated the four women:<\/p>\n

  • Janne Dipple<\/strong>, founder of FarmReady Pty Ltd, Morton Vale<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Sonia Ghiggioli<\/strong>, organic farmer, wine maker and artisanal cheese maker, Agnes Water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Fiona Lake<\/strong>, agricultural photographer and owner of a rural advocacy business, Hermit Park<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • Krista Watkins<\/strong>, co-founder and Managing Director of Natural Evolutions Food, Walkamin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          \u201cThe AgriFutures Rural Women\u2019s Award acknowledges the essential role that women play in developing rural industries, businesses and communities,\u201d Mr Furner said.<\/p>\n

          \u201cThe award aims to support and inspire the next generation of female leaders across Australia.<\/p>\n

          \u201cThe finalists, who were chosen from a highly competitive field, exemplify the breadth and depth of the talent and dedication of the women working in Queensland agriculture.”<\/p>\n

          The Queensland winner, which will be announced on March 22, will receive a $10,000 bursary to support their project.<\/p>\n

          State and Territory winners will then compete for the Australian Rural Women\u2019s Award title on September 12,\u00a0 with the national winner receiving an additional $10,000 to contribute to her project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
