A string of drink-driving incidents over the past week has left Kingaroy Police shaking their heads.<\/p>\n

At 7:30pm on Friday, police pulled over a Nissan Pulsar on the Bunya Highway at Memerambi, after complaints were phoned in by other motorists that it was driving with no lights on and swerving on to the wrong side of the road.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said a police headed out and located the vehicle.<\/p>\n

He said a 35-year-old Ellesmere woman had been charged with driving under the influence of liquor after allegedly recording a 0.243 BAC on a breath test, almost five times the legal limit.<\/p>\n

She will also face a charge of unlicensed driving when she appears in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 9.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Police heading to Nanango to assist in another matter were diverted from their original task when a black Ford Mondeo allegedly pulled out in front of their police car on Saturday night at 7:00pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Snr Sgt Tierney said police then observed the car overtaking vehicles and driving erratically.<\/p>\n

A 21-year-old Kingaroy\u00a0woman has been charged with drink-driving after allegedly recording a 0.162 BAC.<\/p>\n

Her number plates were also confiscated for seven days.<\/p>\n

The woman will also face a charge of wilful damage after she allegedly rubbed blood on the walls of a police cell while in custody.<\/p>\n

At 8:45am on Friday morning, a 64-year-old Murgon man was stopped by police on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin for a random breath test.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He allegedly recorded a BAC of 0.08 and will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on March 20.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
