All the recent rain hasn\u2019t bothered the kids at Nanango\u2019s St Patrick’s Primary School now that they have somewhere high and dry to eat.<\/p>\n

Six new picnic tables for the eating area were sponsored by the 2017 Heritage Nanango Community Funding program and St Patrick’s Parents and Friends Association.<\/p>\n

The steel and hardwood picnic tables were locally manufactured and have been standing up well to constant use by the children.<\/p>\n

St Patricks\u2019s P&F President Helen Mead said the tables were a welcome addition to the undercover eating area. <\/strong><\/p>\n

“Until now the children have had very limited seating, with most sitting on the concrete to eat their lunch” Mrs Mead said.<\/p>\n

“The school also hosts events in this area throughout the year, and the picnic tables were the final things we needed to turn the area into a great gathering place for the school community.<\/p>\n

“We’re very appreciative of Heritage Bank Nanango’s support.<\/p>\n

“It’s great to see local organisations working together towards a positive outcome for our school and community.”<\/p>\n
