The NDIS will be running workshops in Nanango, Kingaroy and Murgon on March 6-8 to help participants and support co-ordinators prepare for the introduction of the NDIS on July 1<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

February 27, 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will be rolling out in the South Burnett on July 1 and there’s more workshops planned to get people ready for it.<\/p>\n

The National Disability Insurance Agency will be presenting four workshops in Nanango, Kingaroy and Murgon on March 6-8.<\/p>\n

The workshops will show participants how they can best prepare for their first NDIS planning conversation, and will explore what is included in a participant\u2019s NDIS plan.<\/p>\n

The workshops will be held at these locations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tuesday, March 6<\/strong>
\nNanango Cultural Centre, 1:00pm\u20133:00pm
\nCorner of Drayton and Henry Street, Nanango<\/p>\n

Wednesday, March 7<\/strong>
\nKingaroy Town Hall Reception Room, 10:00am\u201312:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm
\n45 Glendon Street, Kingaroy<\/p>\n

Thursday, March 8<\/strong>
\nMurgon PCYC, 10:00am\u201312:00pm
\n40 Macalister Street, Murgon<\/p>\n

A separate workshop for support co-ordinators will also be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall Reception Room on Wednesday, March 7, between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This workshop will explain a support co-ordinator\u2019s role in building the capacity of NDIS participants to exercise choice and control when implementing plans, connecting to community and assisting to select services.<\/p>\n

Service providers who are registered to provide support co-ordination, or anyone interested in providing this service, are encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n
