Hospitality students at Kingaroy’s TAFE have been working hard over the past few weeks preparing lunch menus at the college’s Taabinga Room Training Restaurant as part of their training.<\/p>\n

The students are being guided by local chef Jason Ford in all aspects of restaurant functions.<\/p>\n

The lunches are open to the public and always prove popular, however bookings are essential.<\/p>\n

The current round will each Wednesday from February 28 through to June 13, with a two-week Easter break in the first two weeks of April, between noon and 1:30pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week’s offerings will be a set menu of three courses – an entree of Thai red chicken curry on a bed of steamed jasmine rice for $4; a grilled rib fillet with sweet potato chips and salad as a $7 main course; and peanut and buttermilk panna cotta for a $4 dessert.<\/p>\n

Other lunches will offer either buffets or a la carte dining.<\/p>\n

The Taabinga Room Restaurant is fully licensed but a variety of mocktails are also available.<\/p>\n

The TAFE College appreciates public support for their aspiring chefs.<\/p>\n

The restaurant atmosphere gives the students valuable hands-on experience as they progress through their studies.<\/p>\n
