{"id":20043,"date":"2013-01-07T15:53:47","date_gmt":"2013-01-07T05:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=20043"},"modified":"2023-11-30T15:50:41","modified_gmt":"2023-11-30T05:50:41","slug":"countdown-to-hatch-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2013\/01\/07\/countdown-to-hatch-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Countdown To Hatch Day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>January 7, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The rare &#8220;Reading Bug Egg&#8221; &#8211; which has been making the rounds of Nanango after being unearthed at Meandu Mine last year &#8211; landed at Raine and Horne in Nanango today.<\/p>\n<p>The egg is currently &#8220;resting&#8221; so children can read to it to help it hatch.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next few weeks the egg will be visiting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>January 7 &#8211; 10 &#8211; Raine &amp; Horne, Nanango<\/li>\n<li>January 10 &#8211; 14 &#8211; Evolution Hair Studio, Nanango<\/li>\n<li>January 14 &#8211; 21 &#8211; Nanango Library<\/li>\n<li>January 21 &#8211; 26 &#8211; Heritage Bank &amp; Orchy&#8217;s Fresh Fruit Mart<\/li>\n<li>January 28 &#8211; February 1 &#8211; Nanango primary schools<\/li>\n<li>February 2 &#8211; Nanango Markets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThere are more cracks appearing and it looks like there have been lots of stories read to the egg. It is very important that we keep reading to the egg over the school holidays, as we hope to see it hatch in the first few weeks back at school this year,\u201d egg curator Caitlin Isaac from RHealth said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe Egg Museum has confirmed a due date for the egg, Saturday, February 2, if children keep reading to the egg at the current rate. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We look forwarding to seeing everyone at the Nanango Markets on February 2 where we hope to see the egg hatch!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Children who have read to the egg four times will have received four stickers for their Reading Bug bookmark.
