A new Southern Queensland Country tourism marketing campaign valued at $135,000 is encouraging Brisbane families to discover a relaxing summer escape in the South Burnett before the end of the school holidays.<\/p>\n

CEO Mary-Clare Power said the campaign was showcasing the Southern Queensland Country region to potential holidaymakers seeking an alternative to summer crowds and the beach.<\/p>\n

\u201cBringing together the regions of Toowoomba, Western Downs, South Burnett, Warwick and surrounds and Granite Belt, Southern Queensland Country is renowned as Queensland\u2019s premier country getaway destination,\u201d Ms Power said.<\/p>\n

The campaign is running in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland and 12 industry partners and aims to entice city dwellers to take a respite from the stresses of urban life.<\/p>\n

It will run until mid-February and include print, radio and online coverage. <\/p>\n

\u201cSeveral operators are offering great deals, including stay for three nights and pay for two, inclusive meals and free entry offers to attractions,” Ms Power said.<\/p>\n
